About Us

MARK HINES
has been responsible for a series of award winning design projects. He is also one of the country’s few Lethaby Scholars, and trained with the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, one of the most respected conservation organisations in the world.

Our approach to design is shaped by the way we work. Our experience with existing buildings informs our new projects, and our new work draws on our appreciation and understanding of historic architecture. All buildings evolve, and need to adapt to change. We have particular skills in working with historic buildings, and their extension, adaptation and repair. Our unique experience across projects of all scales allows us to ensure that the character of each historic building is retained, yet can continue to meet the needs of today.

Our previous projects have included the remodelling of a Grade 1 listed house in the East End of London and a gallery for the family of the late film director Stanley Kubrick. We are currently designing a new eco-community centre in the grounds of a listed churchyard, and completing a series of sustainable housing and public space projects. We enjoy working with people who share our belief that architecture can be inspirational, and make a positive contribution to the world around us.
